Missa Solemnis

Ludwig van Beethoven deemed the Missa Solemnis to be one of his most accomplished compositions and the work is undoubtedly one of the most impressive pieces of occidental art music. Along with renowned soloists Malin Hartelius, Caitlin Hulcup, Daniel Behle and Stefan Cerny, as well as the Czech Philharmonic Choir Brno, the Orchester Wiener Akademie under the baton of Martin Haselböck performs Beethoven's Mass as a teaser for the new concert series RE-SOUND Beethoven.

RE-SOUND Beethoven

All symphonies of Beethoven were premiered in Vienna. RE-SOUND Beethoven brings these pieces back to the magnificent original locations of their premieres for the first time.
The concert series will start off with Beethoven's eighth symphony as well as the incidental music to Goethe's Egmont on October 4th at the Theater in der Josefstadt.
Tickets for RE-SOUND Beethoven I shall be available starting May 12th at the ticket office of Jeunesse Musikalische Jugend.

The Giacomo Variations

The Giacomo Variations ? an opera-theatre play with John Malkovich as the ageing Giacomo Casanova, premiered on stage two years ago followed by performances in Moscow, Sidney, Versailles and Luxembourg, has been adapted for the cinema by director Michael Sturminger. Joining John Malkovich for the filming were first rank actors and singers including Veronika Ferres, Jonas Kaufmann, Florian Boesch, Miah Persson and Anna Prohaska, under the musical direction of Martin Haselböck.
